Safety Standards

EN 14021:2003 – "Roost Guard" Protection

This standard is for when the primary risk is debris (small stones, mud, sticks) kicked up by other bikes.

EN 1621 – High-Impact Protection

This is the standard for serious motorcycle armor, designed to absorb and distribute energy during a crash or collision with a hard surface.
Primary Function: Impact absorption (reducing force transmitted to the body).
Performance Levels:

Level 1: Offers standard protection (less than 35 kN or 18 kN transmitted, depending on the part).

Level 2: Offers superior protection (lower transmitted force, less than 20 kN for limbs, 9 kN for chest) and is generally more rigid.
Level 2 is twice as good as Level1 at absorbing impact.
